Hi there! I’m Alexis.
I am as passionate about this mission of mine as I am about the God who called me to it! As a wife, mom, and a woman who has found healing from my broken past, I am here to tell you that you can change your story too!
My mission here at Everything Beautiful is to help women like you break the cycle of family dysfunction and create a life you love.
I strongly believe that we each hold within us God-given gifts of talent, resources, and experiences. We all have the potential, with God’s wisdom and guidance, to do amazing and unique things to make this world a better place, to serve our world for God’s glory. And in the process, we can find and share contentment and joy beyond our wildest dreams.
The Story of Everything Beautiful
Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Everything Beautiful is my passion project, through and through. God planted this seed in my heart many years ago before I had any clue about the things He would do in my life.
At 14 I accepted Christ as my savior on a mission trip. From there, my passion for missions only grew stronger. I participated in two short term trips before surrendering to the calling God had placed on my heart at the age of 22.
I quit my job to go back to school and completed my bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies (which is just a fancy way to say missions).
But then I got married and wanted to start a family and missions kind of took a backseat. But God had a plan. It was through our journey to becoming parents and raising our littles that my passion for missions was re-ignited!
As a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to be able to stay with my boys and still be able to contribute to our family financially. That led me to blogging which led me here.
I’ve had this dream in my heart for many years to help women overcome their painful past and break the cycle of family dysfunction. Having grown up in a broken and dysfunctional family myself, I know all too well the struggles that can come from that. But thanks to some amazing friends and family and to God’s grace and redemption, I’ve been able to break free from that cycle and begin to find a better path forward for my own family.
It is my hope that women like me (and you) can find encouragement, support, and healing through my story and the community we build here.
I truly believe that you are worth it and that you have what it takes to change your family for good!
