One of my favorite parts of having kids is shopping for clothes! Which is good since they basically need an entirely new wardrobe about every 3 months for the first couple of years. These are my 3 favorite places to shop for stylish and affordable children’s clothes!
Kidbox is a subscription box service and has sizes newborn-14 for girls and newborn-16 for boys. Baby boxes (newborn-24 months) are $68 and include 5-6 items. Kid boxes are $98 and include 6-7 items. Each box includes name brand clothes at a fraction of the cost. PLUS for every entire box you keep, KidBox donates clothes to a charity of your choice.
KidBox sends five boxes a year (spring, summer, back-to-school, fall, & holiday). You can also purchase individual Limited Edition boxes and Kidsentials boxes for sizes 2T and up which includes socks and underwear. Kidbox also recently added the option to style your own box. If five boxes just aren’t enough for your kiddos, you can purchase additional boxes any time throughout the year!
Save $25 off your first KidBox purchase when you order using my referral link! (Full Disclosure: I will also earn $50 in KidBox credit for every box purchased 😊).
Our kids have each received four boxes so far plus we’ve purchased one Kidsentials box and one Limited Edition Box. Here are some of the things we’ve received!
Target: Cat & Jack
When I’m not at home, you can almost always find me at Target! One of my favorite places to browse is the kids’ clothes section. Cat & Jack brand makes some of the most adorable clothes ever. I’ve always kind of hated clothes with slogans and phrases like, “I’m cute. Mom’s cute. Dad’s Lucky,” or “This is what amazing looks like.” I just prefer not to encourage that kind of thinking in our kids.
Cat & Jack does a great job of putting just the right words or graphics on their clothes that make them appealing to kids and parents alike without being super cheesy or sending the wrong message. I especially appreciate some of the uplifting and positive messages I’ve found on their shirts such as, “Raised by Strong Women,” “A smile can change the world,” and “Be Happy, Be Kind.”
Another HUGE positive for Cat & Jack is their adaptive clothing line. This Target clothing brand has created an entire line of sensory-friendly and adaptive clothing options for kids and toddlers living with disabilities. They include things like snaps on the back, zip off sleeves and zip sides, abdominal openings, tagless apparel, flat seams, and diaper friendly bottoms.
Having had multiple children in my life with special needs, I truly appreciate the effort Cat & Jack continue to make to provide quality, fashionable clothing selections for ALL kids at an affordable price point!
Once Upon A Child
Once Upon A Child is my favorite pre-loved clothing store for children. They carry a variety of brands like Carter’s, Osh Kosh, Jumping Beans, and more all at super low prices! They have sizes from preemie to youth size 20. I’ve never spent more than around $6 on one clothing item so far (sizes newborn to 2T at least).
They also carry toys, shoes, baby gear, furniture, blankets, and more. And they sell some new items from brands like Melissa & Doug, Nuk, and others.
Once your child has outgrown their clothes, take them in and sell them to Once Upon A Child for cash!
For mommas trying to outfit their kiddos on a small budget, this is the place to go, with locations across the US and Canada!
